Community Outreach
At EGS, community outreach is a very important part of who we are. Our staff has been very involved over the years in the Florida Engineering Society (FES), Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE), Geotechnical Materials and Engineers Council (GMEC), and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Through these societies, EGS has had the opportunity to sponsor various events in the Tallahassee area. Recently we have sponsored and/or volunteered at the following events:
SCI GIRLS Educational Summer Camp – 2008 and 2009
EGS is proud to be a 2009 sponsor of the SCI Girls Summer Camp program. We look forward to volunteering once again to this great event.

The EGS Engineering Services Division has also volunteered its time over the years to perform projects that benefit our community. In 2008, EGS’s Stormwater Department teamed up with Genesis Group, Inc to help design the Stormwater Management Facility for the Florida Disabled Outdoors Association’s (FDOA) sports complex in Tallahassee, Florida. This facility, named the Miracle Field, was built to provide the community with a complex for disabled children to play a variety of sporting events. This complex was opened to the general public in November 2008.
